Decks That Inspire

Composite decking is a smart, durable, and sustainable alternative to real wood for enhancing an outdoor living space. UltraDeck® by Menards® was expanding the product offering to include a new line called Inspire™. This new line elevated the product aesthetic and the brand needed to elevate with it. Menards® asked Bolin for help with the challenge of launching the new line in a space already crowded with high end competitors.

By using video and photography to tell our story, we brought the new UltraDeck® Inspire™ product line to life. We focused on capturing moments of how people live, work and play in their outdoor spaces. This made it easy for consumers to connect with the brand, feel inspired and visualize the possibilities of a new outdoor deck. Inspire™ has not only elevated decking products for UltraDeck®, but elevated the UltraDeck® brand for Menards®.

Driving Action.

With new creative assets developed, we put together a strategic media plan to increase foot traffic to Menards® stores. By using digital tactics such as programmatic video, display, native ads and social, we targeted homeowners in areas near Menards® locations and geofenced each store to measure foot traffic based on the ads served. The results were astounding. Website traffic to the Decking section of doubled and the target sales numbers were exceeded nearly halfway through the campaign.
